Rogers Press release.

"Rogers Communications Announces Request for Proposal for Brand Creative Agency
TORONTO, Nov. 15, 2013  – Rogers Communications, Canada’s leading diversified communications and media company, today announced it will commence a request for proposal (RFP) for a new creative advertising agency for the communications division of the Rogers brand.

“Canadians are more connected online than ever before, and as a result digital is an integral part of our marketing communications strategy,” said Shelagh Stoneham, senior vice president, general manager of brands and marketing communications, Rogers Communications. “It’s been eight years since our last creative agency RFP. This is the right time for us to reevaluate our advertising approach and partners to ensure we continue to engage in a relevant dialogue with the brand’s target audience. We look forward to beginning the RFP process, and hearing from the industry’s most sought after leaders in advertising and digital communications.”

Rogers is in search for a national English and French brand agency with expertise in digital communications, above the line creative advertising, and retail marketing and execution. A decision is expected to be announced by March 2014.
Rogers last RFP for a creative agency was conducted in 2005. Incumbent agency Publicis has been invited to participate in the RFP to service the account nationally, along with nine additional agencies. A complete list of participants is as follows:

·         Anomaly
·         BBDO Canada
·         DDB Group Canada
·         DentsuBos
·         JWT Canada

The review does not affect agency assignments for the Fido and Chatr Wireless brands. CTDConsultants New York is advising on Rogers marketing communications resources and will assist the company throughout the RFP process to select a strategic creative agency partner.
