Jeff combines the unique global experience with an entrepreneurial bent, first nurtured by none less than John Wren, now CEO Omnicom Group when he spun off an agency in Canada from the newly formed holding company to accommodate a Client conflict with Honda in the three way merger.
After starting a second successful agency in New York to service Mercedes-Benz North America, he returned to Omnicom to provide integrated marketing services via 15 Omnicom companies servicing Mercedes from 1999 to 2006.
His most recent position was Managing Director, Operations and Technology, JWT New York from 2006 until October 2010.
CTD was formed in 2010 to provide full-time Advertising and Marketing operational advice to marketers and agencies based on long and deep experience.
Jeff was awarded a fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) in 2005 and remains a Chartered Marketer. (re-certified 2017/18)
Working closely with Bruno Gralpois, ex-Microsoft Director of Global Agency Strategy and author of "Agency Mania" and chair, Client/Agency Relations for the ANA, (Association of National Advertisers) and the chief negotiation officer at JWT NY over 3 years, he developed the resource based compensation models for 3 multi-million dollar Microsoft fully integrated assignments including Microsoft Office and the launch of Bing. ( also consulted with Michael Farmer; author of "Manslaughter on Madison Avenue" while at JWT).
He founded the "Emerging Media Unit" at JWT New York and appointed David Rosenberg to develop it. (David is now Chief Innovation Officer for Amazon.com.)
In the last few years he has consulted with Rogers Communications Toronto, Publicis New York and Toronto, Fiat-Chrysler, Havas NYC and Toronto, Arnold (NY and Boston), Manifest New York and Chicago, McKinsey (via Alphasights), Ernst & Young NYC, Aimia (Aeroplan) Canada, Cutwater San Fransciso and Millennium Communications NY, as well as almost a dozen communications companies in Toronto and Montreal like Cundari, Mass Minority, McCann and Sandbox.
In 2011, Jeff was appointed an advisor to Moat, a Silicon Alley Start-up that was sold to Oracle for $850 million in 2017.
